What's Cooking?


Our employees strive for perfection, not only in their work, but when it comes to many other tasks as well. What better way to allow them to succeed than an Office Bake-off! (Besides, who doesn’t like to try new recipes and eat?)

Several people within the office were paired up and for several weeks, the office employees underwent a rigorous routine of taste-testing desserts and voting on a weekly winner.  Those winners moved on to the semi-finals, and then those employees baked again with the top 2 selected for the finals. 

Jess “The Lioness of the Kitchen” Leinen and Brenda “Goddess of Baking” Gonzalez were the finalists.  To our surprise, they both made similar desserts using cherries and cream cheese which made the voting quite fair, but challenging.  The 2007 Bake-off winner by 1 vote was Brenda Gonzalez.  For her effort, she received a beautiful trophy!  Both girls also received a cash prize.  Watch in 2008 for the next  “Office Challenge”!
